Delete your account
You can delete your Workout Director account, and the data our servers hold for it, at any time: in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app. This page is the account deletion page for Workout Director on Google Play. Our Privacy Policy has the full detail.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel Workout Director Pro first in your App Store or Google Play settings: on iPhone, iOS Settings, your name, Subscriptions; on Android, the Play Store, Payments & subscriptions. Apple and Google keep their own purchase records, which we can't delete.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Profile and scroll to the bottom.
- Tap Delete account (Delete Account on iPhone).
- Confirm with Delete (on iPhone, tap Delete Account on the next screen).
This deletes your Workout Director account and app data from our servers straight away. We also ask RevenueCat (our subscription provider) to delete your customer record and purchase history, and PostHog (our crash-report provider) to delete your profile and the reports linked to it. Both services finish that deletion on their side shortly after. If either is unavailable, we keep retrying automatically for up to 30 days.
No longer have the app?
Email shelgaonltd@gmail.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you. You don't need to install the app.
What is deleted
- Your account: name, email address, user ID, sign-in methods and sessions.
- Your profile and profile photos.
- Your workouts and training history on our servers.
- Your trainer chats and messages, the facts the trainer remembers, chat summaries and food entries.
- Voice coach usage and ratings, feedback you sent, and your subscription status as we hold it.
- Your RevenueCat customer record and purchase history, and your PostHog profile and the reports linked to it.
What we keep for a while
- A record that the account was deleted, for about 2 months, or about 14 months if you had a subscription, so billing events for a closed account are ignored.
- Referral reward records, for up to 2 years.
- A retry record, only if a request to RevenueCat or PostHog failed: your user ID, the service and the reason, for up to 30 days.
- Backups: app data backups (DynamoDB point-in-time recovery and AWS Backup) for up to 35 days; the account database (Neon) has a 6-hour restore window.
- Server logs, for 3 days.
- Purchase records at Apple and Google, which they keep themselves.
Health Connect on Android
Workouts the Android app wrote to Health Connect stay in Health Connect after you delete your account. To remove them, open Health Connect on your phone, tap App permissions, then Workout Director, then Delete app data (Google's instructions).
